These Terms of Use govern your use of OutdoorTacticalX. By creating an account or using OTX, you agree to these terms.
Outdoor information is not a substitute for official rules
OTX is an independent outdoor-information service and is not a government agency. Hunting and fishing laws, emergency rules, closures, property status, access conditions, weather, water conditions and agency data can change quickly.
You remain responsible for verifying current official regulations, posted signs, property boundaries, access permission and field conditions before acting. A map layer, parcel record, access-program record or season result does not by itself grant permission to enter property or guarantee that an activity is legal.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Information you provide should be accurate enough for the features you choose to use. You may not use OTX to violate law, interfere with the service, impersonate others, or access data you are not authorized to use.
Basic and Pro
OTX may offer free Basic access and paid Pro features. Native subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the applicable store terms. Prices, trial availability, renewal timing, taxes and cancellation options may vary by store, location, or future product changes. Unless a store states otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the store account used to purchase them.
Location, GPS and Emergency Assist
GPS and mapping accuracy varies with device hardware, terrain, satellite visibility, network conditions and third-party data. Do not rely on OTX as your only navigation, survival or emergency system. Carry appropriate maps, communication tools, safety equipment and backup plans for the environment you enter.
Emergency Assist helps you view and share location information and reach contacts using capabilities on your device. OTX does not operate a 911 dispatch center and does not promise automatic transmission of your location to emergency services.
Maps, property and access
Public-land, parcel, landowner, hunting-access and boundary data may be incomplete, delayed or generalized. Property ownership does not establish public access. Private-land program participation may have reservation, registration, written-permission, species, date, parking, weapon, or other restrictions. Always follow the official property instructions and posted signs.
Third-party information
OTX presents or links to information from government agencies and other third parties. Those sources retain responsibility for their own data and websites. OTX may normalize, summarize, organize, cache or display source information to make it useful, but we cannot guarantee that every third-party service will be available, complete or error-free at all times.
Acceptable use
You may use OTX for lawful personal outdoor planning and field use. You may not reverse engineer protected portions of the service, abuse connected data sources, attempt to bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, automate excessive requests, or use OTX to facilitate illegal hunting, fishing, trespass, harassment or other unlawful conduct.
Intellectual property
OutdoorTacticalX branding, software, interface design and original content are owned by or licensed to OTX. Government and third-party data remain subject to the rights, licenses and attribution requirements of their respective sources.
Disclaimer of warranties
OTX is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that every map, regulation, count, forecast, boundary, alert or third-party record will always be complete, current or free from error.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, OTX and its owners, operators and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the service, field conditions, third-party data, device failures, regulatory changes, navigation decisions or property/access decisions.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version will be posted at outdoortacticalx.com/terms.
